Picture
I though Stomach 36 would be an appropriate point to share at a time when there can be a tendency to overindulge, as it is a great point for digestion.

Uses:
Stomach 36 is another of the most powerful acupoints on the body. It is a great point for:
  • Digestion, eating and the whole abdominal area
  • Energy and vitality
  • Strengthening the body and immune system
  • Fatigue
  • Over-thinking and worry
  • Pain in the legs

Location:
The point is located on the lower leg below the knee. It is 4 fingers width from the bottom of the patella (knee cap) and one fingers width from the crest of the tibia (shin bone) towards the outside of the leg. See the photo on the right

Uses:
Large Intestine 4 is one of the most well known and powerful acupuncture points on the body. It has many uses but it's main one is for pain. Pain arises as a result of energy stagnation. As Large Intestine 4 is a strong point for shifting energy, it can be used for any pain anywhere in the body. In particular this point is great for:
  • Headaches and migraine (frontal and vertex)
  • Tooth and jaw aches
  • Issues of the head, face and eyes, including sinusitis, allergies and hay fever
  • Colds, fever and overall immune system
  • Earache and tinnitus
  • Overall soothing and calming (for anxiety and overwhelm)

Location:
The point is located on the hand between your thumb crease and hand (see the picture). Start with your thumb against your hand and find the highest point of the mound next to the thumb crease. Hold this point with your opposite thumb. Keep holding the point and move your thumb back away from your hand as shown in the picture. If you put some pressure on the point toward the hand you may find it to be tender. Rub the point for 30 seconds then gently hold it for 5-10 minutes. You can use the point on either hand as often as you need.

CAUTION: Do NOT use this acupoint during pregnancy
